WHAT HAPPENED?
The 22-year-old striker has seen his release clause at Portman Road triggered. That became active once the Tractor Boys suffered relegation out of the Premier League at the end of the 2024-25 campaign.

Despite tumbling out of the top-flight, Delap registered 12 goals for Ipswich and was given an opportunity to train with the senior England squad. His potential was noted by several clubs ahead of becoming available in the summer window.

WHAT NEXT FOR LIAM DELAP?
Delap, who is the son of former Stoke and Republic of Ireland midfielder Rory, started out in Derby’s academy system before joining Manchester City in 2019. He took in six appearances for the Cityzens while spending time on loan at Stoke, Preston and Hull City, before linking up with Ipswich permanently in July 2024.
