WHAT HAPPENED?
Bonmati played a crucial role as Barcelona achieved further success in the Women's Champions League, Liga F and Copa de la Reina last season. After being named the winner of the Ballon d'Or Feminin in October for the second time, she has topped it off with a second straight FIFA prize.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
The 26-year-old scored the opening goal and was named Player of the Match as Barcelona beat Lyon in the Champions League final at the pinnacle of a fantastic campaign. She also broke the deadlock won the same award when Spain won the Nations League final against France in February. Bonmati also appeared in The Best Women's XI alongside five other Barcelona stars.
